After going with four straight offensive players, the Houston Texans finally add someone to their defense with their first of two fifth round selections in the 2016 NFL Draft. The choice they made with the 22nd pick in the round (159th overall) they chose West Virginia safety K.J. Dillon.
Dillon is the second safety from WVU to get drafted this weekend after his running mate Karl Joseph went 14th overall to the Oakland Raiders.
Some believed the Texans would have been interested in Joseph, but after he went well before the Texans’ first pick they waited until now to grab a safety to compete for time.
