Caserio inherited a mess when he was hired as Houston's general manager in January 2021, left to deal with a disgruntled star quarterback who would become embroiled in an ugly off-the-field scandal (Deshaun Watson) and a roster that was feeling the effects of former head coach Bill O'Brien's disastrous tenure as GM. But two years in, Caserio didn't appear to be making much progress in turning the team around.
