Houston Texans second-year wide receiver, Vyncint Smith, found a new home after being signed off the practice squad to join the New York Jets 53 man roster. The Jets released quarterback David Fales to open up a roster spot to bring in the wide receiver.
Smith has earned another opportunity to pursue a career in an active roster after spending his rookie season with the Texans. Smith signed with the Texans after going undrafted in 2018 from Limestone College as a divisional II athlete.
Texans were intrigued with Smith’s potential to keep him on the 53 man roster as a rookie, but he wasn’t able to keep his roster spot going into his second season.
