Veteran defensive end Kendall Langford and outside linebacker Lamarr Houston spent their first day getting acclimated with the Texans after signing their contracts.
That included getting their helmets and shoulder pads and jerseys Wednesday before their first practice with their new football team.
"I'm excited to be back playing football," Langford said. "I appreciate the opportunity that they gave me and I'm going to make the best out of it. I'm a competitor. I'm a football player. I've been around 10 years, so I've seen a lot of football."
Langford, 31, has 290 career tackles and 22 1/2 sacks.
