NRG Stadium is home to every era of Houston Texans history, serving as the home field for the franchise ever since its inaugural season in 2002. That could change early next decade.
The Texans recently “explored the possibility of a new stadium,” to replace NRG after the current stadium lease ends in 2032, according to the Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan M. Alexander and Dylan McGuinness. A team spokesperson threw a degree of cold water on the new-stadium speculation Wednesday, telling the Chronicle, "our priority has always been to support a renovation of NRG Stadium.
