I’m typing this post a few days before Christmas, so I have no idea whether the Jaguars beat the Titans, or if the Texans beat the Bengals, or if in fact we’re looking at a showdown for the division title in Nashville next week. As you’re reading this entry, depending on how yesterday shook out, you may well feel like Christmas came a day early. On the other hand, you may feel like Santa brought you a lump of coal, dooming you to a week of nervous—nay, crippling—overanalysis about the Texans’ chances of continuing their 2016 campaign past January 1st.
