MEXICO CITY -- For Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, his trip to Mexico City represents a dual purpose.
Turner is in town for a trade mission of top Houston area business representatives along with the Greater Houston Partnership with a focus on growing Houston's investment and trade relationships with Mexico. Total trade among 1,000 Houston companies doing business with Mexico was valued at roughly $17.7 billion last year.
Turner is also excited about cheering on the Texans against the Oakland Raiders on Monday night at Estadio Azteca.
"Mexico represents our second biggest trading partner and we want to enhance that relationship," Turner said.
