When the Texans won the AFC South title last season, a major reason why they went from worst to first in the division was the improvement of their special teams units.
Under new special teams coordinator Brad Seely's leadership, kicker Ka'imi Fairbairn had a Pro Bowl caliber season.
The Texans' kick coverage got dramatically better,
Rookie punter Trevor Daniel displayed potential during his first season as the replacement for former Pro Bowl punter Shane Lechler.
And former Pro Bowl long snapper Jon Weeks had another strong seasons, his ninth with the franchise.
"I think we made a lot of good steps, a lot of progress," Weeks said.
