Ronald Ollie was walking off of the Oakland Raiders' practice field Sunday afternoon when his life changed dramatically during the course of a short conversation.
During a rookie minicamp audition, the undrafted former Last Chance U star defensive lineman was called over by Raiders coach Jon Gruden after practice.
Gruden cut right to the chase. Ollie was being offered a contract and a spot on the Raiders' 90-man offseason roster. It was a dream come true for Ollie, who overcame a rough upbringing in rural Mississippi along with academic and weight problems along the way.
