Kentucky cornerback Lonnie Johnson Jr. is regarded as fast riser in NFL draft circles.
At 6-2, 213 pounds, Johnson is the prototypical big cornerback. And his stock has gone up since he improved his 40-yard dash from 4.52 at the NFL scouting combine to 4.39 seconds at his campus Pro Day. He's now being mentioned as a potential first-round candidate.
Johnson has worked out privately and met extensively with the Texans and he has visited the New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions, according to league sources not authorized to speak publicly.
