When the Texans cut running back Kenny Hilliard during their final major roster cutdown following an encouraging preseason, he was obviously disappointed.
Once he got over that setback, Hilliard set his mind to working hard to stay in shape and seeking another NFL opportunity.
Hilliard tried out for the Seattle Seahawks and drew interest from the Cincinnati Bengals during his time as a free agent. The former seventh-round draft pick from LSU signed back with the Texans this week, rejoining them on their practice squad where he spent his entire rookie season.
"It's great," Hilliard said.
