The possibility of charges being filed against Johnny Manziel for allegedly hitting, kidnapping and threatening to kill his ex-girlfriend is being delayed because the lead Dallas detective on the case has to work a two-week rotation in patrol.
According to the Dallas Morning News, Dallas Police Department officials expected to have a decision on whether to charge Manziel or not by Friday, but that decision has been delayed as the detective is on patrol as part of a community policing program aimed at reducing the department's slow response times.
