John McClain's Texans' breakdown: Running backs

Related Topics: Running back, Charles London

This is the first of a nine-part, position-by-position series analyzing the Texans after their offseason program. Coming Wednesday: Wide receivers.

When the Texans begin training camp July 26 in West Virginia, running back should be one of the most interesting positions to watch.

Running back should be one of coach Bill O'Brien's deepest and most competitive positions.

The addition of third-round pick D'Onta Foreman to go with returning starter Lamar Miller means O'Brien's run-first philosophy isn't expected to change.

Miller, Foreman, Alfred Blue, Akeem Hunt and Tyler Ervin are veterans who'll compete to impress O'Brien and running backs coach Charles London at The Greenbrier.
