If you are a Texans’ fan and live in the city of Houston, or someone with battle red blood who lives outside of Houston, you might have gone to J.J. Watt’s Charity Softball Classic. The event has gone on since 2013 and has grown from raising around $320,000 in an independent league baseball park to raising around $1.6 million dollars and moving to Minute Maid Park.
The event raised money for Watt’s charity, allowed fans to watch their favorite players play a different sport as well as get access to meet players, take selfies, get autographs, and watch Vince Wilfork swing a bat in overalls.
