Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones flew into Houston with a purpose Tuesday: to recognize his old friend, the late Texans owner Bob McNair.
Jones presented McNair with a Lifetime Achievement award at the Houston Sports Awards show Tuesday night at the Hilton Americas.
"When I think of somebody that made the most commitment, or the biggest commitment to the last 20 years in the NFL, I can't top Bob McNair," Jones said. "I'm not just talking about Houston. Bob was so special for what the NFL was about. I knew his background. I knew he had got knocked down several times and gotten back up financially or otherwise.
