Jeff Fisher knows what it's like to have his NFL team change cities

INDIANAPOLIS – In 1996, the Oilers played their last season in Houston before owner Bud Adams moved the team to Nashville in 1997.

Jeff Fisher was their coach. Now he's the Rams' coach overseeing their move from St. Louis to Los Angeles.

The move to Los Angeles should be smoother because of Fisher's experience.

"I learned the most important thing is to put yourself in the players' shoes," Fisher said today at the scouting combine. "You also learn that eventually things are going to settle down, but the most important thing is players are going to have to understand we're going to play games, and we've got to take care of the players and look at it from there perspective.
