According to Adam Schefter, the Texans have released Jaelen Strong.
This comes as a surprise given the team’s lack of depth at wide receiver. Now, the team carries DeAndre Hopkins, Braxton Miller, and Andy Jones as the only healthy receivers on the active roster.
Strong was drafted as a third-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft and failed to live up to his draft position. He was suspended for the Jacksonville game this season due to a PED rules violation and failed to register a catch in Thursday night’s win over the Bengals.
