Jadeveon Clowney makes player-voted top-100 list after breakout year

HOUSTON -- Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney's performance last season for the league's top defense did not go unnoticed, as he was voted by NFL players to 49th on the NFL Network's top-100 list.

The 2016 season was the first the former No. 1 pick was able to stay relatively healthy, and he finished the season with a career-high six sacks, 52 combined tackles, 16 tackles for a loss and 17 quarterback hits. He was the lone Texans player named to the Pro Bowl, and Houston rewarded his season by exercising their fifth-year option earlier this spring.
