Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is missing his first Pro Bowl because he underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
As a rookie, Clowney underwent arthroscopic surgery and microfracture surgery on his right knee.
After being plagued by injuries his first two seasons, Clowney moved from outside linebacker to end this season and became a dominant force on the NFL's No. 1 defense.
Clowney, who missed only one game because of an injury this season, helped the Texans finish 9-7, win the AFC South for the second consecutive season and defeat Oakland in a wild-card game before the Texans were eliminated at New England.
