Texans fans stood Monday night at NRG Stadium in memory of the late Texans owner Bob McNair, and then they honored him in a fashion he certainly would have appreciated – by cheering for the team that he founded 16 years ago.
McNair, 81, who died Friday, was recognized during a brief ceremony prior to the Texans' game against the Tennessee Titans.
His initials, RCM, were painted on the field at the 25-yard lines, and the Singing Cadets choir from Texas A&M University sang "Amazing Grace" in the darkened stadium as a video tribute appeared on the stadium video board.
