The NFL's final four includes a pair of teams helmed by quarterbacks groomed in Texas.
The Saints' Drew Brees became a Texas star in his days at Austin Westlake High School where he led the Chaps to the 1996 state championship. The Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes never made it to state in football when he played at Whitehouse High School, but he did lead the Wildcats to the state baseball tournament in 2013 where he pitched and hit cleanup in a state semifinal loss to Corpus Christi Moody.
Brees and the Eagles' Nick Foles are the only Texas products to ever start at quarterback in a Super Bowl.
