The Houston Texans, largely, have been a team mired in mediocrity for the vast majority of their history. They’ve had some really good seasons but they’re usually bookended some pretty miserable ones.
They’ve also had some pretty great players who have done some incredible things like Andre Johnson. But, the few players the Texans have had like Johnson have usually been surrounded by far lesser players. For a while, Johnson had Matt Schaub tossing him the pigskin and Schaub was more than serviceable at QB but he was never able to elevate himself to that elite level.
