The first half of action is in the book for the Houston Texans as they host the San Francisco 49ers. The Texans looked good early as quarterback Brian Hoyer hit wide out Cecil Shorts III for a 58 yard score in the first quarter.
Houston then took advantage of the new extra point rules which allows the team to either kick the ball from 33 yards out or go for two points from the two yard line. Houston lined up and Hoyer then hit DeAndre Hopkins to make it an 8-0 lead for Hosuton.
