Houston Texans surveying the running back market

Aaron Wilson of the Houston reported that the Houston Texans brought in running backs C.J. Anderson and Aca’Cedric Ware for workouts on Tuesday. Texans had a closer look with Anderson after they faced him in the joint practices with the Detroit Lions in the preseason.

Anderson is currently looking for his sixth team in the league after having stints with the Denver Broncos, Carolina Panthers, Oakland Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, and the Lions. He was most successful with the Broncos where he earned Pro Bowl recognition in 2014 and helped Denver win Super Bowl 50.

At 28 years of age, Anderson has started in 39 of the 71 games he’s suited up and has 776 carries for 3,497 yards.
