Houston Texans Sign Running Back Chris Polk

The Houston Texans are still working the free agent market just days before the draft, and have agreed to a contract with free agent running back Chris Polk, per John McClain of the Houston Chronicle. Terms of the contract have not yet been announced.

Polk played at Washington and was considered a good NFL prospect, but went undrafted in 2012 due to concerns over a degenerative shoulder injury. He has played his entire career in Philadelphia, but became unnecessary in their backfield after the team brought in two new running backs, DeMarco Murray and Ryan Matthews.
