The Houston Texans picked up former Denver Broncos quarterback Zac Dysert and added the 2013 7th round pick to their practice squad.
Dysert, 6’3″ and 221 pounds, broke the majority of the records for passing at Miami of Ohio University. Those statistical milestones were previously held by Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Dysert was cut by the Broncos and spent about a week with the Chicago Bears before being let go from them as well. He now comes to Houston and serves as the practice squad quarterback, but is also the third passer on the roster after the team sent Tom Savage to the injured reserve with a shoulder strain.
