The reality shattering news this week was that Duane Brown was traded to the Seattle Seahawks for Jeremy Lane, a 2018 fifth-rounder and a 2019 second-rounder. Jeremy Lane has been struggling with multiple leg injuries this season. He failed his physical. So the trade was tweaked. The Texans are now receiving a third-round pick in 2018, a second-round pick in 2019, and a fifth-round pick in 2018. The Texans were worse off this year by making this trade when Lane was included, and are even worse off now. They probably could have received a similar deal this offseason if this trade still needed to be made.
