Certain news stories reach a point where you’ll believe any absurd twist or serpentine bend it may take. This story is not one of those stories. This story is boring, and exhausting, and needs to come to an end already.
The Texans franchise tagged Jadeveon Clowney for this season, and since then things have cooled off and constipated. Clowney will either play under the franchise tag after sitting out of training camp (most likely if the team doesn’t come to a long term agreement), be traded for a first round pick that won’t help the team this year and/or a player who can’t help the team as much as Clowney will, or both sides come to an agreement and Clowney is extended and happy, participates in training camp, and comes out feeling violent and swinging when the 2019 season begins.
