Speaking of controversial trades that Bill O’Brien has done since Brian Gaine was fired from his role as general manager, the Houston Texans seem to have gotten fair value in the trade that packaged Pro Bowl pass rusher, Jadeveon Clowney, to the Seattle Seahawks.
Clowney never really lived up to the expectations of being the first overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, meanwhile, Khalil Mack, Aaron Donald, and Dee Ford have arguably had better careers up to this point on the defensive side of the field. Clowney remains a free agent after NFL teams were wary of paying him as one of the better-paid pass rushers in the league.
