Mock draft season is upon us, with the Super Bowl in the books and start of the NFL's 2023 league year still a month away. With such territory comes rampant speculation, and with the Houston Texans owning two of the top 12 picks in April's NFL draft, there are plenty of thoughts about who the next impact rookie in the Bayou City will be.
Given the Texans' horrendous quarterback play—they had the fourth-worst Pro Football Focus passing grade in the league last season—the long-held assumption has been that the team will target a signal-caller at the top of the draft.
