According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Houston Texans have released veteran tight end, Ryan Griffin. He was arrested in Nashville, Tennessee in the offseason while the 2019 NFL Draft was taking place. Drafted in the sixth round of the 2013 NFL Draft, he was one of the last two players remaining of that draft class besides first round pick, DeAndre Hopkins.
Griffin was unable to have the same success as his counterpart and his fate seemed to be sealed after the Texans drafted tight end Kahale Warring from San Diego State in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
