It is extremely safe to say that the Houston Texans 2017 season was a disappointment. It began with such promise. JJ Watt was back from a devasting back injury. The Texans appeared to finally have a true franchise quarterback in Deshaun Watson. Then, everything hit the fan and things went downhill almost as fast as they started.
The Texans ended last season with a 4-12 record. This was the team’s worst record since 2013, the year that would allow Bill O’Brien to become the Texans head coach. The other three years of the BOB era saw the team go 9-7 every season.
