The Houston Texans have made the move official and announced the signing of safety Mike Adams. The 15th year veteran is expected to take a portion of the snaps against the Atlanta Falcons at safety with the Texans starters banged up. Justin Reid and Tashaun Gipson have been dealing with injuries since the preseason and adding a fifth safety to the roster made sense for the struggling secondary.
Texans released tight end Jerell Adams from the roster to make room for the veteran safety. Waiving Adams made sense for the Texans with the three tight ends already on the roster.
