Houston Texans make moves at the safety position

In a change of heart, the Houston Texans have waived recently signed safety Tyvis Powell. He entered the league after going undrafted in 2013. Powell was on his sixth team with the Texans and spent less than a week on the roster. Prior to joining the Texans, he had some short stints with the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers, and the New York Jets.

The Texans announced the signing of A.J. Hendy with the departure of Powell. Hendy is returning to the roster after going undrafted in 2016. He was with the Miami Dolphins, Los Angeles Chargers, and the Texans before being released for a short amount of time.
