A day after firing David Culley, Texans general manager Nick Caserio said Friday that fans shouldn't automatically assume that his next head coaching hire will be someone with ties to the New England Patriots.
It's easy to make that assumption, though, since Caserio spent 20 years working for the Patriots and won six Super Bowls in New England, and his apparent right-hand man, executive vice president of football operations Jack Easterby, also came over from New England.
"I don’t think anybody should assume anything," Caserio said of his ongoing head coaching search. "I think we’re going to be very deliberate with this process.
