The Houston Texans have stuck to their guns. They hired a general manager. Now they are trying to hire a head coach. The search firm they hired gave them five candidates, instead they hired the one man whose name wasn’t included, the former New England executive, the man Bill O’Brien and Jack Easterby thirsted over in 2018.
With him at the helm, making Deshaun Watson even more disgruntled, the Texans now look to hire a head coach. So far they had interviewed Joe Brady, Marvin Lewis, and Jim Caldwell. Of them, Brady is the only one likely to get a job this year, and Lewis and Caldwell seem like Rooney will requirements at the moment.
