The Houston Texans will have the flexibility to be aggressive until the October 30 trade deadline due to last season’s trade that sent Pro Bowl left tackle Duane Brown to the Seattle Seahawks. That trade netted them a 2018 third round pick which turned into rookie offensive lineman Martinas Rankin, and a future 2019 second round pick.
In essence, the Texans will have all their draft picks in the 2019 NFL Draft and possibly a very valuable second round pick from the Seahawks.
The Texans actually having a solid draft class in 2018 also gives them the ability to send draft picks for the right player.
