Houston Texans' Deshaun Watson violation costs them draft pick

It's been nearly a year since the Houston Texans dealt Pro Bowl quarterback Deshaun Watson to the Cleveland Browns, but the organization just received a notable penalty for a violation that occurred during his time in the Bayou City.

The NFL announced Wednesday that the Texans will forfeit their 2023 fifth-round pick in addition to paying a $175,000 fine for a a salary cap reporting violation that occurred in 2020. The release from the league indicated that Houston provided Watson "with undisclosed compensation in the form of a membership at an alternative athletic facility.
