The Houston Texans are finishing a contract extension for Bryan Anger to remain their punter for three more years after an impressive season, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport. The deal is expected to be worth up to $6 million and pay him $2 million annually. Anger joined the Texans after he was released from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the offseason.
He signed with Houston to compete with Trevor Daniel in the preseason but formed part of the final cuts before the start of the season. However, Texans liked Anger enough to sign him back to the roster after Daniel played a subpar two games in the regular season.
