Fans of the Houston Texans are going to love their new starting quarterback if head coach Bill O’Brien is correct in his assessment. When speaking to the media during the owner meetings in Florida on Tuesday, O’Brien called Brock Osweiler a “great fit” for the Texans offense.
O’Brien wasn’t just impressed with Osweiler’s passing ability, but also his athleticism. He discussed how Brock played basketball and how unlike most big guys, he is able to move around in the pocket and buy some time.
The biggest selling point to O’Brien and the Texans though appeared to be the poise under duress that the 6-foot-7 passer showed during his seven game stretch as a starter for the Denver Broncos.
