Back during the 2017 NFL Draft, it was a known fact the Houston Texans needed a quarterback, but were too far out to get one of the top three players at the position. The Texans news that day was they eventually traded up to the 12th overall spot, drafted Clemson star Deshaun Watson, and the rest is history.
Before that, though, the Chicago Bears moved up just a little in the draft to the second overall pick and selected Mitchell Trubisky, passing on not only Watson, but also Patrick Mahomes, who was selected 10th overall by the Kansas City Chiefs.
