The Houston Texans have reaped the early benefits of acquiring running back Carlos Hyde from the Kansas City Chiefs before the start of the regular season. With their former 2018 third-round draft pick Martinas Rankin reportedly on his way out, the price was right as the Texans secured a physical running back after losing Lamar Miller for the season due to an ACL injury.
Hyde has 99 carries, 426 rushing yards for three rushing touchdowns, and averaging 4.3 yards a carry through the first six games of the season. Currently ranked tenth in the league in rushing, Hyde’s been one of the main components for the Texans to be ranked fifth in the league by averaging 139.
