Thus far in this draft season we’ve focused on positions that the Texans are most likely to address early, inside and outside linebacker, wide receiver and cornerback. There are a few individual players in the 1st round from other positions that also deserve a mention, which could temp the Texans to take them if certain players do not fall where they would like.
Those players are defensive linemen Malcolm Brown (Texas) and Arik Armstead (Oregon) along with Center Cameron Erving (Florida State).
Brown can play anywhere up and down the offensive line and would be a relatively conservative low risk pick but looks like he’ll be a tremendous pro.
