Scruggs no longer has to worry about Stroud—who went 2-0 as Ohio State’s starting quarterback against Penn State—beating his team, as the two have gone from being on opposite sidelines to sharing the same locker room in Houston to begin their professional careers. Stroud was picked by the Texans with the second overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, with the team trading up to take Scruggs in the second round.
Though Scruggs has only had a few days to get to know Stroud since arriving in Houston for rookie minicamp, the young center already has high praise for the rookie quarterback.
