Oklahoma middle linebacker Kenneth Murray delivered punishing tackles for the Sooners.
Now, Murray takes that hard-hitting, gritty style to the NFL.
He was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the first round with the 20th overall pick Thursday night after a trade with the New England Patriots.
Murray's father, Kenneth Sr., is a Baptist pastor. His mother, Diane, is a retired police officer.
The family adopted three special-needs children through their church. That gave Murray two brothers, James, Lenny, and a sister named Nyia, in addition to his birth sister, Kimberly.
The three children all have birth defects, chromosomal issues that affect their ability to function in various ways, including speech and movement for his brothers and memory issues for his sister.
