INDIANAPOLIS - Growing up in The Woodlands, Cal running back Daniel Lasco developed into a blue-chip recruit.
A high school All-American as a senior, Lasco set school records with 3,821 career rushing yards and 43 touchdowns. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.3 seconds and the 100 meters in 10.5 seconds, rushing for 265 yards and four touchdowns against Katy during his junior year.
"Texas football is huge, people live for Texas football, it was a great environment," Lasco said. "We had 5,000 to 10,000 people at our games. I enjoyed every moment of it. It was a great experience.
