Danieal Manning firs came to the Houston Texans during the wild, accelerated, post-lockout free agency period of 2011. It was a somewhat VERY desperate point in time for the Texans organization after they experienced one of the most disappointing performances imaginable by the defensive unit in 2010.
In that first season in Houston, which also happened to be the first year the Texans won the division and made the playoffs, Danieal Manning made an immediate impact as a starting safety and periodic kickoff returner. Today he announced that he is retiring from the NFL.
