Former Texans receiver Demaryius Thomas pleaded guilty to a careless driving charge Wednesday in connection to his Feb. 16 car crash in Denver.
After that crash, Thomas was arrested and charged with vehicular assault and driving without insurance, in addition to the careless driving charge. Thomas pleaded guilty to the careless driving charge in a plea deal that drops the vehicular assault charge, which would have been a felony.
"It was important for me to accept responsibility for my careless driving. I personally promise I will never again put anyone at risk with that type of driving going forward," Thomas said in a public statement.
