Former Houston Texans star Eric Winston has pledged his brain to the Concussion Legacy Foundation for examination after his death.
"I love the game of football and all that it has done for me and my family, but when I look back years from now, it is important that other players appreciate the positions we are taking to make things better for them," Winston said in an interview with the Concussion Legacy Foundation. "Hopefully I'll be using my brain for a lot longer – I'm hoping I get another 60 years out of it. But if contributing to this research can just help move the needle some, then I will leave the game better than I found it.
