The NFL season has one game remaining, and that means a new league is poised to make a dramatic return, and that is the XFL, which means Sammie Coates is back playing in Houston.
Though Sammie Coates was drafted in the third round by the Pittsburgh Steelers back in 2015, Coates played his most recent season in the NFL during the 2018 season with the Houston Texans. Coates played 12 games for the Texans, catching one pass on two targets, making no starts.
While with the Texans, Coates did play some special teams where he totaled four tackles (one solo), but in the XFL, his focus will be trying to get back the excitement that made him a third-round pick in ’15 by the Steelers.
